Tokyo! and the genius of Leos Carax

Hace tiempo vi Tokyo! pero por alguna razón hoy me acordé de ella. Michel Gondry, Leos Carax y Joon-ho Bong realizan obras para este título. 

Leos Carax me encantó. Genio! Muchas películas se han hecho sobre la destrucción de las grandes ciudades por diferentes criaturas, pero ninguna como el simpático Merde. El extraordinario Denis Lavant encarna a este destroyer que se puede leer a diferentes niveles simbólicos, desde el lenguaje hasta el grado de destrucción. Si se eres un friki hay que poner mucha atención en todos los elementos que Carax pone a disposición de Merde para descomponer. Me gustaría hacer un análisis más profundo de Merde, pero ahora estoy en la labor de ver el resto de películas de Carax -espero que igual de extraordinarias que esta y Mauvais Sang-. 

También es muy muy chulo el fragmento por Joon-ho Bong sobre un hikikomori. Me identifiqué muchísimo sobre todo en encontrar bellísimas las cosas perfectamente ordenadas y limpias. Tiene muchísima sensibilidad y creatividad es un corto que no puede dejar de verse. Bellísimo!

No te preocupes Harmony Korine sigo siendo tu fiel fiel admiradora.

I saw Tokyo! a long time ago but for some reason today I remembered it. Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-ho performed his works for this title.

I completely loved Leos Carax. Genius! Many movies have been made about the destruction of the big cities by different creatures, but none as the very handsome Merde. The extraordinary Denis Lavant plays this destroyer character that can be read at different symbolic levels, from the language to the extent of destruction. If you're a geek you must pay close attention to all the elements that Carax offers to Merde to decompose. I would love to make a deeper analysis of Merde, but now I'm in the work to see the rest of Carax's films -hopefully as extraordinary of this and Mauvais Sang-.

It is also very very cool the fragment of Bong Joon-ho about a hikikomori -Shaking Tokyo-. I identified myself a lot with him especially in finding beautiful things that are perfectly neat and clean. It has a lot sensitivity and creativity, it is a must to see. Gorgeous!

Don't worry Harmony Korine I remain being your faithful and loyal fan.

Desde el primer capítulo de esta serie no pude dejar de verla. Tiene mucho de intrigante la propuesta sobre qué es la naturaleza humana: el vacío de siempre desear algo. El vacío y el deseo volvían loco a Freud. En lo personal, me gusta más Zizek y su síntoma. No podemos decir que la naturaleza de todos lo humanos es satisfacer intermitentemente su deseo, sino que más bien sus deseos son un síntoma de la actualidad; de un estado -postmoderno, postnacional, postquirúrgico, post, post- de bienestar, comodidad y además cristiano. Es decir, el síntoma varía; por lo que esta serie ha sido tremendamente ilustrativa al respecto.

Otra cosa que me hizo pensar fue que en mi hilo de ideas sobre el síntoma, apareció el cliché: "decadente", síntoma de una sociedad decadente. Parece que nunca deja de estar de moda y siempre se puede ser más decadente. Pero también supongo que hay nuevas virtudes, espero.

From the first episode of this tv series I couldn't stop watching it. It has a lot of intriguing proposal on what is human nature: the emptiness of always to desire something. Freud was really intrigued about the emptiness and desire. Personally, I like more Zizek and his Symptom. We can't say that the nature of all human is to intermittently satisfy their desire, but rather that their wishes are a symptom of today, of a State -postmodern, postnational, postsurgical, post, post- commodity, comfort and also christian. That is, the symptoms varies and therefore this series has been tremendously enlightening about contemporary state -of mind-.

Another thing that made ​​me think was that in my thread of ideas about the symptom appeared the cliché: "decadent", a symptom of a decadent society. Seems it never ceases to be fashionable ato use the term and also you can always be more decadent. But I guess there are new virtues, I hope.

El otro día fuimos a mi primer y última corrida de toros. Parece que sólo asistí para darme cuenta que soy 100% anti taurina, fue un espectáculo chocante, totalmente anticuado y colonial. Y pensar que asistir, al parecer, te da cierta posición social no me ha gustado para nada.
